Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

Before submitting a manuscript to Constitutional Law Review (Colrev), authors are required to read and understand the guidelines and follow the provided manuscript template. Manuscripts that do not meet the formatting requirements or use a different format will be rejected by the editorial team before review. Manuscripts that meet the specified formatting requirements will be considered for review. The manuscript template can be downloaded at: [Template and Author Guidelines]. Authors must use this template as it represents the expected format by the editorial team. To use the template, save this MS Word file to your device, then copy and paste your document into it. The title and abstract must be written in English.

Paper Format

  • Word Limit: Submissions should be between 6000 to 10000 words, including footnotes and abstract.

  • Structure: The manuscript must follow this sequence:

    1. Title

    2. Abstract

    3. Keywords

    4. Introduction

    5. Methodology (for original research articles)

    6. Main Heading (Analysis/Discussion)

    7. Conclusion and Suggestions

    8. References

  • Referencing Style: Manuscripts must adhere to the Chicago Manual of Style for citations and references.

Title

  • The title should be written in Times New Roman, Bold, 17 pt, with a maximum of 14 words.

  • Authors names, affiliations, and emails should follow the title in the manuscript.

Abstract

  • An abstract is required for all submissions, except Comments and Book Reviews.

  • The abstract should be no longer than 250 words and should succinctly describe the aims, background, methodology, and findings of the paper. It should also end with conclusions and recommendations.

  • The abstract should be written in Times New Roman, 11 pt, with justified alignment and single line spacing.

Keywords

  • Provide 2 to 5 keywords, arranged alphabetically, separated by semicolons.

  • Keywords should be written in Times New Roman, 11 pt, italic, with justified alignment and lowercase letters.

Introduction

  • The introduction should clearly present the issue to be discussed, along with an adequate background and a brief literature review. It should:

    • Identify previous research and their limitations.

    • State the goals and objectives of the current research.

    • Highlight the scientific contribution or novelty of the paper.

Legal Materials and Methodology

  • Clearly and concisely describe the legal materials and research methods used.

  • If the research method goes beyond the normative juridical approach, please specify the time and place of research (if applicable) and the focus of the study.

Results and Discussion

  • This section should include the main findings and relevant supporting results. It should also present a discussion of these results.

  • Figures and tables (if any) should be placed within this section and will be edited as necessary by the editorial team.

Conclusion and Suggestions

  • The conclusion should be clear, concise, and aligned with the main findings.

  • Suggestions should follow the conclusion, providing recommendations for future research.

References

  • The reference list must be formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style (Author-Date format).

  • Cite only materials that have been read and referenced in the footnotes. Ensure all publications cited in the text are included in the reference list.

  • For manuscripts submitted from 2022 onwards, use reference management tools like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. to format references.

Online Submission Guidelines

  1. Register as an Author or Reviewer:Authors must first register through the following link:
    https://ejournal.iain-bone.ac.id/index.php/colrev/user/register

    Complete the form, ensuring all required fields are filled. After registration, authors will be directed to the online submission interface.

  2. Five-Step Submission Process:

    • Step 1: Choose the appropriate journal section (e.g., Original Research Articles or Review Articles) and check the submission checklist.

    • Step 2: Upload the manuscript by selecting the file from your device.

    • Step 3: Enter manuscript metadata, including the title, abstract, and keywords.

    • Step 4: Upload supplementary files, including the Covering Letter, proof of proofreading, and signed Copyright Transfer Agreement.

    • Step 5: Confirm your submission after reviewing the uploaded files. The corresponding author will receive an acknowledgment email, and the submission status can be tracked via the online system.
