Focus and Scope

Constitutional Law Review (Colrev) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that provides an international forum for high-quality research in the field of constitutional law and its related disciplines. The journal focuses primarily on constitutional law studies, while also welcoming submissions from other areas that intersect with constitutionalism, governance, and human rights.

The journal scope includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

• Constitutional law and constitutional theory

• Judicial review, constitutional adjudication, and constitutional courts

• Human rights, civil liberties, and democratic governance

• Comparative constitutional law, with particular attention to Asia and the Global South

• Legal pluralism, customary law, and their constitutional implications

• Islamic law in the context of constitutionalism, comparative law, and governance in Muslim societies

• Socio-legal studies and the interaction between law, society, and constitutionalism

• Contemporary debates on legal reform, constitutional change, and legal policy

Colrev particularly encourages research that examines constitutional developments and legal reforms in Asia and the Global South, with specific attention to the interaction between national legal systems, Islamic law, and legal pluralism. While remaining open to global perspectives, the journal seeks to foster academic dialogue that contributes to justice, institutional development, and the strengthening of governance structures worldwide.
