SAYID QUTUB DAN TAFSIRNYA FĪ ZHILĀL AL-QUR’ĀN (Metodologi Tafsir dan Pemahaman Nasakh)

One of the contemporary exegetes who has garnered significant attention among Muslims today is Sayyid Qutb. Through his deep contemplation of the Qur'anic verses, he has presented numerous innovative ideas. His intelligent and brilliant thought has made his name widely recognized in the Islamic world. Sayyid Qutb's accurate understanding and contemplation of the Qur'anic verses have led him to produce a unique work of tafsir, distinct from most contemporary commentaries. He titled his work "In the Shade of the Qur'an," which is rich in methodology, and one of its unique features is his interpretive technique regarding the issue of abrogation in the Qur'an.
Generally, contemporary exegetes tend to produce works using thematic methods, particularly those scholars engaged in academia. However, Sayyid Qutb, despite his academic background, emphasizes the analytical method in his tafsir.
