PENGARUH PENDEKATAN PENDIDIKAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR DI ACEH UTARA
Abstrak
The low problem solving ability of elementary school students in North Aceh is because students do not understand the problems given and rarely make what is known and asked so students are not able to use what ways to solve problems as a result students cannot solve problems especially check the correctness of the solution. This quasi experimental study aims to determine the influence of the realistic mathematics education approach (PMR) on the problem solving abilities of Iskandar Muda Private Elementary School students. The sample of this study were fifth grade students of SDS Iskandar Muda elementary school, V-2 Experimental class and V-3 control class. Data analysis using t-test. The results of the study showed that the problem solving ability of elementary school students in North Aceh with PMR was higher than ordinary learning (PB). With these results, it is expected to be able to develop or improve students 'mathematical problem solving abilities and students' motivation in mathematics.
