KONSEP AL-SHULHU DALAM AL-QUR`AN SURAH AL-HUJURAT [49]: 9-10 PERSPEKTIF CHARLES SANDERS PEIRCE

This study aims to complete the discussion of the meaning of al-Shulhu in the Qur'an Peirce's semiotic perspective because this is very very important, especially in today's people who give meaning only from one side without paying attention to the word before and after, so that the word shulhu only has one meaning, namely peace even though shulhu has many meanings when translated into Indonesian including peace, compassion, comfort, tranquility, repair and justify, even as symbols of one's excuse. From these meanings will create a comfort and tranquility in living a life of society and state. The word al-Shulhu is repeated 180 times with different derivations and for example when the word al-Shulhu is juxtaposed with the realm of mu'amalah it has the meaning of agreement, agreement and agreement, but when the word al-Shulhu becomes an object in a dispute or problem it has the meaning of peace, harmony and peace both in the family, society and state. In contrast to Sayyid Qutubh who said that al-Shulhu cannot be interpreted with peace and harmony alone, but al-Shulhu when juxtaposed in the realm of academia has the meaning of freedom or independence (meaning that when someone is in the realm of academics, everyone has the same right without the slightest difference to express the content of his thoughts either directly or in writing)Â Keywords: al-Shulhu, semiotika, PeirceReferences
