Abstract

This research discusses "Shirk in the Qur'an (Study of Tafsir an-Nur, Kaya M. Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy)". The main problem in this research, researchers developed into three sub-problems, including the nature of shirk in the Qur'an, as well as the form of shirk in the Qur'an, according to M. Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqqy, This type of research is qualitative research with analysis descriptive, as well as using an interpretive approach, a theological approach and a historical approach. This research is classified as library research (library approach). The results of this research show that the essence of polytheists is associating partners with Allah. Humans must worship Allah SWT, not worship others, because the sin of shirk is very great. Shirk is a form of Tafsir an-Nur, so the obligation of the ulama is to explain to mankind what God has revealed, not to hide a single verse. The wisdom of shirk in Tafsir an-Nur is that we should realize that Allah does not favor anyone. Remember, the Prophet himself experienced some bitterness in the battle of Uhud, because of the mistakes of his soldiers (Muslim soldiers). Claiming to be holy and being deceived by religion and ethnicity (nationality) are things that can prevent us from doing good deeds.
