RAGAM STUDI QUR’AN: TEORI DAN METODOLOGI KONTEMPORER ( ANALISIS TERHADAP PEMIKIRAN ABDULLAH SAEED, ANDREW RIPPIN, ASMA BARLAS, DAN ANGELIKA NEUWIRT)

Artikel ini mengulas bagaimana metodologi tafsir yang ditawarkan oleh kesarjanaan kontemporer. Focus yang diambil di sini adalah Abdullah Saeed, Muhammad Syahrur, Andrew Rippin, Asma Barlas, Angelika Neuwirt. Para tokoh yang serius nemekuni al-Qur’an dan diakui sebagai pionir kajian al-Qur’an yang bersifat akademis-dialogis. Abdullah Saeed mencoba menawarkan konsep hermeneutika kontekstual berupaya menghadirkan penafsiran al-Qur’an sesuai dengan konteks zamannya. Disisi lain Muhammad Syahrur mengembangkan konsep Intra-tekstualitas metode yang sudah ada sejak lama yang disuguhkan secara sistematis dan metodologis. Sedangkan Andrew Rippin menawarkan konsep pembacaan dengan literary analisi dengan melihat suatu kata berdasarkan historisitas penulis awal. Di lain hal Asma Barlas menawarkan konsep pembacaan dengan tafsir pembebasan dalam membaca teks qur’an dengan semangat pembebasan. Dan Angelika neuwirt menawarkan pembacaan pra-kanonisasi al-Qur’an pada masa lahirnya dengan berpijak kepada satuan surat yang dianggapnya sebagai satuan unit integral dan menyimpan proses komunikasi pada mas Nabi. Kajian para sarjana kontemporer ini memberikan warna lain dalam kesarjanaan al-Qur’an kontemporer, terutama untuk menghidupkan kembali al-Qur’an juga mengungkap kembali original meaning.
